Seilebost: a Secluded Beach on the Isle of Lewis and Harris in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland

This month’s travel topic is Secluded Shores and, to start the month off, I wanted to share a secluded beach in the United Kingdom that I am familiar with: Seilebost Beach, located on the Isle of Lewis and Harris in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Reykjanes Peninsula Tour – Iceland

Reykjanes Peninsula Tour – Iceland

April 25th 2020, was supposed to be the start of my Iceland Adventure, on the way to the UK for my annual visit with my mum in Newquay, Cornwall. I was going to tour Iceland for a week visiting popular hot spots as well as hidden gems. However, due to COVID-19 and the travel restrictions needed to prevent the spread of the disease, my flights to Iceland and the UK were cancelled (which I expected). So, I decided to tour Iceland virtually instead (via Google Maps—which I do quite often anyway) and to share my virtual journey of Iceland with you. If Iceland is on your travel bucket list, come with me as I take you on a Virtual Iceland Adventure.

Two such areas in the Top End are Kakadu National Park, home to the world’s oldest living culture, and Nitmiluk Gorge, where more aboriginal rock art can be found than anywhere else in Australia.

Take a day-trip (or two) to an English seaside town and explore stunning coasts

If you haven’t visited an English seaside town or seen England’s stunning coastline before, then consider a day-trip to the seaside when you next visit Britain. Even if you’re short on time and only have a day or two to spare, you can easily take a day-trip out of Central London by train, bus or by car to experience a little of what an English seaside town has to offer and to explore England’s stunning coast.
